PUppy Social!

SOCIALIZATION FOR BEGINNERS Dogs 6mo and under - First and Last Friday of the month.

The best time to start socializing your pup is when they are still a puppy. Dogs are at their most sensitive — and receptive — between three and twelve weeks of age, so the earlier that you can get your dog socialized, the better. It can be challenging to get a puppy to accept anything new or unfamiliar after twelve weeks old.

Unfortunately, it’s not always possible to socialize a dog properly within this window.

Your vet recommended that you keep them inside and away from other dogs, or perhaps you rescued them at an older age. They just never got a good opportunity to socialize before- there are many reasons a dog may not yet be comfortable with other dogs!

Whatever the reason, it doesn’t mean your dog has to be relegated to a life without dog friends or free play with others. Instead of just taking your unsocialized dog into a dog park and hoping for the best, we now offer a special program featuring a personalized, safe, and positive introduction to socialization!

This social hour is free, we will have our trainer on site to answer questions and supervise the play, we also encourage you to sign up for our Puppy 101 class in the new year!
